The recipes you will need from day one to the dragon, from basics, tools, weapons and armour to the enchanting table and Eyes of Ender, each with a 3 by 3 grid to copy.
Each recipe has a 3 by 3 grid like the crafting table. The letter in a slot says what goes there; the key under the grid says what each letter means. Empty slots stay empty. Recipes that fit in 2 by 2 can be made in your inventory, no table needed.
Shaped recipes must keep their shape, but the whole shape can move left, right, up or down; a crafting table works in any corner of the grid.

A Nether portal is not crafted: build an obsidian frame 4 wide and 5 tall and light it.
